Where does the tour depart from and return to?

The tour departs and (upon return) arrives in Irvine. The exact pick-up and drop-off location has yet to be determined.


What is the Junior Ranger Program

The Junior Ranger program is a youth program coordinated in almost all U.S. National Parks. Children will receive official Junior Ranger patches and certificates after completing a series of activities and sharing their answers with a Park Ranger. The Junior Ranger motto is “Explore, Learn and Protect!”


How old do children need to be to participate in the Junior Ranger Program?

Junior Rangers are most commonly between the ages of 5 to 13. However, people of all ages can participate.


Can children travel by themselves?

No, children cannot travel alone and must be accompanied by either one or both parents. However, children may bring a friend (or friends) as long as the same room is shared. It should also be noted that the accompanying parent undertakes full responsibilities for both their own child (children) as well as any friend (friends) of their children.


Are any meals included?

Daily Full American Breakfast is included but any other meal is not included.


Can people from outside the Irvine Unified School District participate to this tour?

Yes, we welcome siblings, friends and students from all districts.


How many people can share the same room?

4 people, however, if a family of 5 is traveling together please call our office to inquire about possible arrangements.


Can I buy travel insurance?

Certainly. The best way to protect your trip and ensure you are well prepared for the unexpected is to purchase trip cancellation travel insurance.

What is the tour cancellation policy?

In case of cancellation the following penalty will apply:

* From date of booking to 60 days prior to departure date: 25% of total cost
* From 59 to 30 days prior to departure date: 80% of total cost
* From 29 days to departure date: 100% of total cost


What is the category of the hotels where we will be staying?

Southwest Tour
3 Diamond Hotel in Phoenix, 4 Diamond Hotel in Lake Las Vegas, Lodges and Motels in Grand Canyon, Kayenta and Bryce Canyon.

Northern California Tour
3 Diamond Hotel in Fresno and Sacramento, 4 Diamond hotel in San Francisco, 3 Star hotel in Paso Robles


How much luggage can I bring?

Every passenger can bring 1 piece of luggage and 1 carry on.


Is there a minimum age requirement for children to participate?

No, there is no minimum age required however our tours are not recommended for children under 5 years old.


Is the tour departure guaranteed?

To operate this trip, a minimum of 34 passengers per bus is required. In the event such number is not reached, the trip will be cancelled and all deposits will be refunded in full.


Who will be leading the tour?

Our highly trained and experienced tour guides in addition to one IUSD teacher per bus.
