This morning, we will continue our visit of the Grand Canyon, stopping at the East side of the canyon with a uniquely beautiful view point. We will keep driving through the Painted Desert until we arrive in Monument Valley, land of the Navajo Indian. The valley’s unforgettable majestic landscapes include mesas, buttes and rock spires. We will explore the Tribal Park on board of 4X4 vehicles and visit the Hogans, the traditional dwellings of Navajo People.

Monument Valley/Lake Powell/Glenn Canyon Dam/Kanab/Bryce Canyon
Our destination today will be the spectacular Bryce Canyon. Well renowned for a symphony of colors and rocks shaped as pinnacles, known as the Pink Cliffs. This canyon will leave every visitor breathless. In the morning we will depart the Navajo reservation and head towards Lake Powell in Page Arizona. There, we will have the opportunity to walk across the bridge above the magnificent Glenn Canyon Dam. This famous location is where footprints of dinosaurs have been discovered. Our journey will continue through Kanab where 105 western movies have been filmed. Late in the afternoon, we will have the chance to visit the sensational viewpoints of Bryce Canyon followed by a beautiful walk along a trail from Sunset Point to Sunrise Point.

Golden Eagles, Red-Tailed Hawks, Peregrine Falcons and Bighorn Sheep can be seen in the area. The wonders continue at our final destination, Henderson – Lake Las Vegas.

En route to Irvine, we will drive by the famous Route 66 and stop at a very popular destination called Calico Ghost Town, in San Bernardino County. Calico is an Old West mining town that originated in 1881 during the largest Silver Strike in California.
With its 500 mines, Calico produced over 20 million in silver over a 12 years span. When silver lost its value in the mid 1890’s Calico lost its population. Today Calico is a State Historical Landmark and offers an opportunity to visitors to share its rich history and enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape.
